Why Glasgow?
Now, we would like to invite you all to come to Glasgow—itself a fantastical city that has inspired the imaginations of writers from Alasdair Gray to Julie Bertagna—in order to enter into conversation with us and one another on any and every aspect of fantasy. We want to talk about books, films, games, art, and creative projects. We want to hear your stories and poems, listen to your presentations, and read your papers. We especially want you to take some time to explore the city. Get to know the university, visit the Curlers Rest or Òran Mór, be inspired by the River Kelvin as it flows through the West End. Read a book in the Botanical Gardens, admire the art in the Kelvingrove Art Museum, and have a takeaway coffee under a tree in Kelvingrove Park. Immerse yourself in the city, allow your imagination to take spark, and share your thoughts with us. We want to hear from you.
