Music Festivals in Denver This Weekend

The Denver metro area offers a variety of music festivals this weekend, including concerts at the Pepsi Center when the Nuggets or Avalanche aren’t playing, and outdoor festival experiences with live music, films, speakers and gear. The Outside Festival features the first-ever Colorado festival celebrating all things outdoors with musicians, immersive experiences and outdoor gear vendors. The city-based City Park Jazz series includes 10 free jazz performances in the heart of the city. The annual Juneteenth Festival celebrates the day African Americans learned they were free, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. This year it will feature music, parades and other community activities.

This month the Boulder County Fairgrounds hosts a variety of live music, food, art and other family-friendly entertainment. Featuring local and regional acts.

A new local event is the Ghost Canyon Fest, which debuts this month with doom, post-punk, experimental and noise bands from both local and national acts. Bands play Skylark, the hi-dive and Mutiny over three nights.

The Front Porch Series features a variety of solo and duet musical acts in a shady beer garden setting on the Arvada Center’s front plaza. The series runs Wednesday evenings from July to September.
